POOL RULES AND REGULATIONS
GENERAL RULES
- Profane language and/or unruly
conduct will not be allowed or tolerated in or around pool property
- No running on deck or around the
area of the tables
3. Running
will be permitted behind the swings and wading
- No eating or drinking on the deck or
in the pool (All food must be
consumed in the grassy area)
- No playing with trash cans or lids
- No sitting on the tables
- No misuse of chairs, umbrellas,
tables, or light poles
- No climbing/jumping any fence in or
around the pool
- No chewing gum within the pool area
- No squirt guns in the pool area
- No littering (Please dispose of
litter in trash cans)
- No glass containers or bottles in
the pool area
- Telephone will be answered only by
the staff
- Only staff will be allowed in the
office
- No talking to guards while they are
in the chair
- No using or climbing on guard chairs
except by the guard
- No use of safety equipment except by
staff
- No towel snapping
- Smoking is prohibited in the pool,
on the deck, and in the bath house
- No Alcoholic Beverages permitted on
pool property
- All children under the age of ten
must have ADULT SUPERVISION unless they pass the swimming test given by
the guard staff
POOL RULES
- No pushing or pulling anyone into
the pool
- No diving off the shoulders of
another person
- No dive/jump over the hand game
- Ladders are used for entering and
exiting the pool
- No balls allowed in the water
(excluding small nerfs)
- No sitting or hanging on the ropes
in the pool
- No using ropes as ladders to exit
the pool
- No removing drain covers or skimmer
lids
- No cartwheels, handstands, etc. into
the pool
- No throwing rocks in the pool or
pool area
- No sailor dives except in the 12
feet section
- No back dives from the edge into the
pool (Backdives will be permitted from the boards)
- No spitting water
- No hats or other non-swimwear
allowed in the pool
- No diving in the 3 feet
- No dunking, horseplay, or wrestling
in the 3, 4, and 12 feet
- No body slams, ˝ nelsons, or full
nelsons
- No dunking by the head or neck
- No rings or any flotation devices
permitted in the pool (excluding water wings - must be accompanied by a
parent or adult)
WADING POOL RULES
- No one over the age of six allowed
in the wading pool
- Children in the wading pool must be
supervised by an ADULT
- No diapers in the pools (Please
ensure that your child has on a “SWIM diaper”)
BATH HOUSE RULES
- No ball playing will be allowed in
front of the bath house, against the bath house, or in the bath house
- No playing with the hoses
- No playing in the bath house or in the showers
DIVING BOARDS (All swimmers 12 and under using the boards
MUST pass the Swim Test)
- One Bounce
- Everyone must go straight off the
boards
- No sitting to jump or dive
- No handstands or cartwheels
- One person on the board at a time
- Person preparing to dive must first wait
for the exit of the previous diver
- While the boards are open the well
is off limits to swimming - While the well is open the boards are off
limits to diving
- No goggles, glasses, masks, water
wings, or flotation devices will be worn on the diving boards
- If there is nobody in the well or
going off the dives, then the person(s) wanting to use the well or dives
must ask if the boards or well are open
- No hanging on the spicket under the
low board
- No hanging on the boards
- No crisscrossing
- Any person using the diving board or
well may be called upon to demonstrate his/her swimming ability
SWINGS AND ANIMALS
- Six and under only on the baby
swings
- Ten and under only on the animals
- Only one person on the swings or
animals at a time
- No twisting on the swings
- No standing on the swings or animals
- No climbing on the swing set
TUBE SLIDE

All swimmers using the slide MUST
pass the swim test

All swimmers using the slide MUST remain seated at all
times
- All swimmers MUST enter the water
Feet First
·
One person on the slide at a time
- No jumping into or down the slide
- Upon entering the water from the
slide, swimmers MUST immediately clear the water entry area for the slide
- Person preparing to use the slide
must first wait for the previous person to clear the slide area
- The water entry area for the slide
MUST be kept clear of swimmers at all times
- No goggles, glasses, masks, water
wings, or flotation devices will be worn on the slide
- No hanging on the slide tube
- No climbing under the slide tube
- Any person using the slide may be
called upon to demonstrate his/her swimming ability
NEW RULES MAY BE ADDED OR THESE RULES MAY BE CHANGED
VERBALLY BY THE MANAGEMENT IF IT IS FELT THAT THEY WILL PROVIDE A SAFER
SWIMMING ENVIRONMENT. IF A VERBAL
CHANGE SHOULD OCCUR, THIS CHANGE OR ADDITION WILL BE ADDED TO THIS LIST.
